Questions

Can I try without an account?

Yes. You can trace today’s word on the home page with no account. Everything else — the alphabet path, 500 words, quizzes, worksheets — opens after you sign in and pay.

Is this for complete beginners, or do I need to know Hebrew first?

It is built for true beginners. You can start even if you cannot read a single letter yet. We show the letter, its English name, transliteration, and a guided trace so your hand learns it step by step.

What is the difference between this and Duolingo or a printable worksheet?

Duolingo is built for vocabulary. A worksheet is repetition without a teacher. HebrewO is the missing piece: your hand on the letter, with a pass bar, a 500-word path, and reviews when the shape starts to fade.

Do you teach block print, cursive, or both?

Both. You can see the print form and practise Ktav Yad, which is the everyday Israeli cursive used in real handwriting. Final forms are included too, so you are not learning an incomplete alphabet.

Will this work on iPad and Apple Pencil?

Yes. It works with Apple Pencil, other styli, finger, and mouse. The tracing canvas uses pointer input, so it feels natural on tablet as well as desktop.

What do I actually get if I pay?

The free version lets you try today's word. Paid access unlocks the full course: 22 letters, five finals, and the same 500 core words as the daily challenge, with progress saved so the reps add up.

How do units and quizzes work?

You trace a unit, then take a quiz drawn only from that unit. Score 80% to unlock the next. Words you already passed come back days later as review, because recognition fades without a second look.
